All-inclusive day experience: Pick up time 9:00 a.m.- return time 3:00 p.m.

The Yucátan peninsula was struck by a comet 66 million years ago. It fractured the limestone crust and created the world's most extensive underground river system. The river winds throughout the peninsula and connects through sinkholes or "cenotes." The Maya people both feared and respected the cenotes, as they believed the cenotes to be the portals into the underworld or afterlife. The high ranking priests used the caves for prayer, ceremony, sacrificial offerings, and, of course, freshwater.

There are 7000+ cenotes throughout the peninsula, and we have handpicked some of our favorites to share with you. Prepare to witness the beauty, unseen anywhere else in the world, and feel a mystical connection with these sacred caves. Enjoy a habitat that is perfect for unique flora and fauna, such as cavefish, frogs, and the Mot Mot bird. Witness stalactites and stalagmites that have been growing for thousands of years, but please do not touch! Explore a fully enclosed water-less cave, tour a family artisan business, and take a moment to appreciate the eye-catching views.

A visit to a cenote means not only connecting with Mother Nature but also a feeling of respect for its cultural and symbolic meanings. Get ready to feel mentally and physically refreshed after a plunging into these sacred waters.
