TELL ME MORE, I'M INTERESTED!

Life’s no bleeping joke. Sure, no one said it’d be easy—but seriously, why does it have to be this damn hard sometimes? 😎😰 How often do you really stop to think about spirituality? About what’s beyond the day-to-day?

But when everything falls apart, when life punches you in the gut—that’s when the questions hit. You start reaching for something more. A higher power. A sense of meaning. Just some peace to hold onto. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

Spirituality here is non-denominational—everyone’s welcome, and all beliefs are respected. This Reconnect Retreat is about helping you connect (or reconnect) with whatever brings you peace. No wrong answers.

Life throws a lot at us. Having a spiritual practice and simple rituals to return to can keep you grounded. We’ve built this retreat with tools we’ve personally used and believe in—because they work.

On this Green Maya Reconnect Retreat, you will

  • Spend lots of time in nature—she’s our essence, our life source, and she knows things. Nature speaks in the spiritual language that resonates with you—this is where many answers live.

  • Ceremony has been honored for thousands of years—we tap into that to connect with ancient wisdom. You’ll participate in powerful ceremonies and learn how to create your own.

  • Discover simple, grounding ways to relax your body and open up to messages from your spiritual practice.

What you can expect…

Day One:

Welcome farm-to-table, a four-course meal prepared by the private chef and served in the lovely gardens at Villa Merida and finishing the evening with a Welcome Fire Ceremony to initiate the purpose of you being here!

Day Two: Time to take it easy, disconnect from your day to day

The morning will begin with light breathwork, yoga flow class to get the blood flowing, and guided meditation to help you re-connect with your subconscious. Then the chef prepares a delicious breakfast, and you shall sit where you wish in the lush gardens. After breakfast, we will come together for an altar-building workshop and journaling project. It’s a good idea to spend the first afternoon settling in and disconnecting. Deep tissue or relaxing massages, which do you prefer? And in between times, you have a large, inviting swimming pool, hammocks swinging on the verandas, or the comfort of your room to relax. As the sun sets, we will come together for a unique, participatory dining experience. 🔮🦉✨

Day Three: Looking to the past for knowledge

Today is action-packed! We will begin early to arrive at sunrise at the location for a jungle trek (4-7 km or 3-4 miles) into an area of protected Mayan lands. You will see abundant flora and fauna, a 15th-century hacienda in ruin, and experience a private, sacred cenote. While you float in the womb of Mother Earth, you will be entranced by a sound bath. We will be sure to make an offering to the ancestors! And return to The Villa just in time for a siesta! The afternoon is yours to do as you wish. We will see how the group feels and flow from there for dinner. Will it be a low-key dinner in or a lively dinner in town?

Day Four: Lead with your heart  🧡

Enjoy some solitude this morning, and we’ll see you at breakfast. Later in the morning, we will gather and prepare for your Heart Opening Ceremony with Abuela Monica, our spirit guide who will take you where you need to go with an open heart. And then Let’s Explore Mérida! Much to see and do can be a great spiritual inspiration, such as art, music, dance, culture, architecture, food, and shopping (supporting the local economy)! We will stop for lunch on Paseo Montejo, a famous boulevard, before making our way to Cathedral de Mérida, the first cathedral in the Americas and built on top of a Mayan ruin. The history runs deep, and the energy is undeniable.

Day Five: It’s so hard to say goodbye

Laughing Meditation (seriously, it works! haha), Last Breakfast & Closing Circle 🤗🤗🤗
