Laid-Back Luxury Weekend Beach Escape — El Cuyo, México

Thursday, May 21 — Sunday, May 24, 2026

El Cuyo, Yucatán, México

… is a small, close-knit coastal village that began as a fishing community and has stayed refreshingly uncommercial. It feels safe for visitors, with a laid-back, local vibe. El Cuyo offers that rare mix of authenticity and comfort—a slow-paced beach town for travelers who want nature, outdoor activities, and a real connection to local life, without giving up the good stuff. Expect quiet, nature-first scenery (pristine beaches, gentle winds for kitesurfing, and abundant birdlife in the nearby mangroves and lagoons), plus charming boutique stays and surprisingly excellent restaurants—the kind of places where you can go barefoot but still eat really well. Nights are low-key: beachfront dinners, a couple of small bars, and stargazing—not nightlife.

Your weekend Itinerary…

A long-weekend reset in a pristine beach town that feels like Tulum 20 years ago—slow, safe, wildly beautiful, with laid-back luxury and an active, outdoorsy vibe. This escape is designed to help you unplug, move your body, breathe deeper, and come home feeling genuinely refreshed.

Everything is optional. This is your holiday. We handle every detail so you can release responsibility from the moment you arrive.

Day 1 - Thursday, May 21 | Arrive, Unpack + Exhale

Arrive to a gorgeous beachfront villa in El Cuyo—4-star, laid-back luxury with bohemian chic rooms and seriously comfortable beds.

Settle in, unpack, and let the ocean do its thing. As the sun sets, we’ll gather for welcome mocktails and cocktails—a relaxed chance to meet your fellow guests and ease into “vacation mode.”

Then: a private chef-prepared welcome dinner at the villa—fresh, nourishing, and delicious. After dinner, drift off early if you want… or stay up under the stars. Either way, your bed will be ready.

Day 2 — Friday, May 22 | SUP + Energy Reset + Sound Bath

Good morning—see you on the water. We start with a Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) lesson, followed by breakfast back at the villa.

Villa Breakfast (served daily): Fresh tropical fruit, yogurt, granola, eggs your way, fresh juices, coffee, tea, and locally produced/organic ingredients whenever possible.

After breakfast, we’ll explore simple, practical tools for regulating your energy and stress response with an Intro to Reiki (gentle, grounded, and not overly “woo”).

Reiki is a Japanese practice focused on relaxation, balance, and supporting your body’s ability to reset. You’ll learn techniques you can use long after you leave—and there’s time for private 1:1 conversation with the practitioner if you’d like.

Afternoon: free time. Relax at the villa, walk the beach, nap, read, swim… or book an optional massage/spa treatment.

Evening: mocktails/cocktails + social time, then dinner out at a highly-rated local restaurant with relaxed, barefoot beach vibes.

Under the moon Meditation + Sound Bath A beautiful way to reconnect your energy to nature’s rhythm—ocean air, grounding tones, and a nervous system that unclenches and allows you to rest.

Day 3 — Saturday, May 23 | Nature Tour + Beach Luxury + Optional Adventure + Dance

Application for My Space

Wake up with the birds for a Kayak + Birdwatching Nature Tour—a calm, immersive experience that connects you to the wild side of El Cuyo.

Afterwards, enjoy breakfast in town at a cute, locally loved beach restaurant—simple, beautiful, and the kind of place where shoes feel optional.

Late morning / early afternoon: free time back at the villa Optional massage/spa, beach walks, hammock time, pool time—your choice.

Lunch at the villa (private chef): Light, fresh, and satisfying—think ceviche, guac & chips, a high-protein salad, grilled bread, and seasonal ingredients.

Afternoon: choose your own adventure This is where “laid-back” meets “active.”

Ready for a thrill? Learn to fly during a kiteboarding lesson (or opt for independent paddleboarding).

I want to fly

Prefer something more chill? Lounge under an umbrella with a book, float in the pool, or soak up the sea breeze while someone brings you a cold drink. No pressure. No guilt. Your pace is perfect.

7:00 PM: Movement + Music Night A fun, freeing dance session—think ecstatic-dance-inspired, beginner-friendly, zero choreography stress. Just move, release, play and laugh.

Then we head out for another relaxed dinner on the town in this safe, charming little beach community.

Day 4 — Sunday, May 24 | Sunrise Yoga + Closing Breakfast

We’ll greet the day with sunrise slow flow yoga and meditation—gentle, grounding, and optional (as always). Then we share a final breakfast together at the villa, soak in the last views, and ease into departure feeling lighter, clearer, and genuinely restored.
